Pictures from my Trip to Cyprus

Posted by: Socrates Socratous on: Feb 28th, 2008

Hello,

As you already know (unless you deleted
my last 5-6 emails) I have been on a trip to
the island of cyprus for the past 10 days.

A lot have happened these last few days
including the one of a kind snowstorm over
the entire island.

Snow is common on the mountains of
Troodos, but VERY uncommon in the
cities.

Anyway, I spent a few days on the mountains
(trying to go online on a turtle-fast dialup
connection before I totally gave up) Good thing
most of my business is automated, otherwise
this wouldnt be possible.

On the night of the snowstorm, in fact I drove
all the way from the mountains to the city of
nicosia, battling with snowflakes the size of a wallnut
.

Being a part of this rare phenomenon, was amazing
to say the least.

Here is a picture with me in the fresh snow.
(notice it has not been driven on yet)

Below is a picture showing how the car looked like
midway to the city. (cool huh?)

..freezing actually

After my little snow adventure, I went back with meeting
friends and business partners, trying to mix having good
time with gathering intelligence for my upcoming
project (stay tuned for that, coming soon).

Below you will see a picture with a good friend of mine
and great internet marketer, Stelios Eleftheriou.

Let me note here…

Having a couple of “feet” of beer, opens up new levels
of brainstorming 🙂
the above picture was taken at the “Brewery” (or something
like that), in Larnaca.

Well, enough with my drinking habit …

hey I just got a new idea:

“Drinking Games for Internet Marketers”

anyway, post your comments below.

Till next time,

Yeah lots of brainstorming due to the beer…

The bad thing is that there is too much brainstorming taking place lately and it’s getting harder and harder to hide the belly 🙂

    Dear Socretes

You should have taken me with you to Cypres
to photograph you and the sites in all their glory.
While you are enjoying, I am wearing my fingers tips thin by writing to you and your staff about my puchase of MYDD, bought (seems like last century)
because if it was in this century then things would have been different.
I am not writing much in this note as I donot want
to publicise my problems in relation to this purchase. Kindly send me a link where I can talk to you directly as you promised in your sales letters and other follow ups.
    Cyril

    Hello Socrates,

I went to grad school with a chap from Cyprus. I always enjoyed listening to his stories about the Island. Some day I’d love to take my family for a visit. I kind of lost touch with him, but he’s a bigshot financial guy over there now. We were both accounting majors.

    Thanks for the pics.

    Hi Socrates,

Amazing Pictures! When I was there, I was amazed at the number of shops selling “Umbrellas”… YES, Umbrellas! Shop after shop of them… I couldn’t believe it… NOW, I see why – lol
Glad you had a great time! Keep those pics coming.

    Hello, Socrates!

I’m glad to see you enjoying your trip to Cyprus. I especially like that picture with your friend Stelios – I think it’s a very lovely one, with that beautiful background scenery of the sea, mountains and trees, added by your sweet smiles. Though Stelios’ smile is quite reserved, yours is a very generous, happy, welcoming and captivating one!

About your new idea of “Drinking Games for Internet Marketers”, please add “Without Getting Drunk” for security,or else, you won’t be able to do any marketing, and the business gets drunk, too! Ha, ha, ha! (laugh)

With my warmest regards and best wishes,
    Rose

    Hi Socrates,

Never seen snow in real life. Just looking at it makes me feel a bit cooler! We have been in the middle of a heat wave, seems like forever, with 40+ degrees(centigrade that is.

Cyprus looks like a great place for a working holiday.

    Cheers,

    bilby

Glad you got to enjoy snow. We’ve had lots of it here in Minnesota in March. Snow is good.
But it’s always nice to come home

  33. Andromeda1on 15 Feb 2009 at 9:26 am

Hi Socrates, Cyprus looks like a land of many different weathers: the balmy breezes by the sea, the warm sun near your home and the snow in the high up places. How do you ever get any work done?
