    Thanks for the offer!

I would like to know more about using video marketing and how to effectively use it to get ranked high in the search engines.

What other strategies should we be using, like social media, etc to push our videos up in the rankings?

    Hi Socrates,
I think there are quite a number of topics that would be useful.

    1. How do you generate more traffic to your site, with the caveat that many people have used articles, blogs (yes WordPress hosted on their own domain with pinging done), PPC etc.

    2. How do you write a successful autoresponder series that actually brings in consistent sales and how to you take on that doesn’t and make it do so?

    3. What is the planning behind the internet marketing that makes is more successful? In other words, on a day to day basis, on a weekly basis, monthly/yearly, what should a person be doing to maximize their business?

    4. How do you effectively and accurately gather market research, and it would be helpful to get case examples.

    Thanks for all you do!

    Hi Socrates,
Personally, what I’d really like you to write about or make videos about is how to profitably sell information products on EBay now, after all their new and confusing rule changes.
I first heard of you through your DD program, so I know you really know your stuff when it comes to EBay.
Is it worth even bother with them anymore? I hear a lot of folks have dropped out now after EBay killed their businesses with the rule changes.
    Thanks for you consideration, Steve

    Hi Socrates,
I would like to have a step by step system of exactly how you built your business. From day one to now. A chart on what to do every single day so I don’t lose focus and fall behind. And please make it in easy to understand terms. Not all of us are techies, but we can follow a simple list of to do things. Include every single step including to funnel and how to find your niche. If you can do this, I’m there.
    Blessings,

PS: You have consistently given more valuable content and training than anyone else out there. Thank you so much!

First let me say that I don’t like video products because when I am at work, my computer does not have the capacity to play video, and when I am home, it just seems that videos take too long. I can read (or skim)much faster, and I get bored just sitting and watching a video, then I start to zone out. I have an ecommerce site, but I am looking around now for a new product that will bring the money in faster. I would love to receive a VIP gold account for ONE full year to your “Resell Rights Fortune.” Other than that, I can’t really think of topic to suggest.
Thank you for allowing me to comment.

    Socrates,
First I want to thank you for all the great information you provide!

It has taken awhile but I have finally figured out process of getting a squeeze page, sales page, and download page made and put live to the internet, but I am still having trouble driving traffic to those pages.

I am currently using hub pages, adwords, and blog posts but with not a whole lot of success.

Would greatly appreciate your opinion on the best ways (paid and free) to drive traffic.

Thanks again for all of your help!

I would like to see a video about uploading files to a website using Filezilla, or a similar program.

Other video presentations that would be helpful would be:

    * putting a Paypal button on a website

    * a “connect the dots” how to on the process of putting an ebook on a website, making it clickable, linking to the download page, thank you page, and so on. The flow of the process in other words - technically.

  16. Fredon 11 Sep 2008 at 10:49 am

I am sure there have been either plenty of requests for it already, or there may be enough out there right now, but the best topic to write or create a video about would be for the person just getting started. There needs to be a Step-by-Step guide of what someone who is just starting out, needs to do to make money. Even in the format of “Step 1, Step 2, Step 3….” Give an approxiimate time line of how this might work if followed. Show results of your experiences. People are looking. This is what they need. This would be what they would latch onto! Good Luck!

I am trying to blog and that is the website that I am trying to establish. I know there are hundreds of video tutorials and ebooks that basically say the same ol thing. What I need is directions on how to really get the traffic I do get to stay and tell their friends. I have started writing my own content but since I am new to this my knowledge is limited. Maybe you could post a couple times of good ideas to share about content that may prove interesting. I know about the article directories but that mostly is stale content. Probably not making myself clear. Anyway thanks for your help!!

Please make us a video that shows how to set up new PLR ebook packages, burn them to disk, and set up kunaki with Myddl to automate the whole process. Hi Socrates

    need suggestions?

Video, the death of your website…

A large part of your subscribers/prospects doesn’t have English as their natural language.

Video is quite useless to them.

I’m from the Netherlands, and EVERY site with a video on it is clicked away while still opening.

Ok, people love to see Youtube, but 90% can be seen without sound turned on…But listening to a bad speaker ( in a lot of cases) in a language thats not your own, is to much.

When a read an ebook or a report, i mark pieces in it, i copy paste ideas for future use. That impossible with those bloody video’s

And maybe a top ten of most irritating gadgets, e.g the ” real live operator with a special offer at the end of a site..” Every site i find with this super annoying toy installed on it goes on the blacklist.

    Hi Socrates,

You are probably the only blogger, entrepreneur whom I have followed consistently because of your honesty and integrity and your customer service.

However since the eBay “bombs” and the downturn of my business on eBay, I have to find a way to quickly get up and running on something that will be:

    1. Easy to implement and produce some income.

    2. Plan should take no more than a week to implement, Or

Anyway, if you have a “Quick income strategy” laying around somewhere, I would appreciate it!

Here is what I want to know.

    In audio

    1. I want to know how to make enough money as an affiliate to pay for all the tools I need to make enough money to sustain a full time income.

    2. I then want to get a step by step program that will make me an internet millionaire.

    3. Then I want to know how to outsource my internet business and replicate it.

Shouldn’t be too hard to do.

  25. Dixie Brownon 11 Sep 2008 at 11:33 am

Creating videos is one of the hot topics in the Internet field.

Also, traffic techniques and more traffic techniques.

You can never have enough traffic techniques.

  26. Paulon 11 Sep 2008 at 11:59 am

    Basics Required

    1) How to find a viable niche? Surely this is where it all starts?

    2) There are many packages on offer showing how to build a website but having found your niche what is the best way to get that all important traffic?

    3) I think videoes are great, watch ( watch again) and do is easy to follow.
Two drawbacks are that if it is not in your own language it can make life difficult, and it can be time consuming going over and over video info-so a text file transcription can be easier to skim over to get to the info you are trying to find. Text files can be automatically translated into other languages too.

    Hello Socrates,

Great admirer of you and what you do. I get the impression of a very honest person who will do what he can for others.

What about an A.B.C. of getting started in the first place. Not everyone has a website or a blog. Suggest a simple way of getting started without too much outlay.

I would appreciate a topic that gives clear delineation on creating the proper sales copy or information to convert subscribers/visitors/readers into ready-to-purchase customers, and then also makes them want to be repeat customers, thereby increasing the word-of-mouth traffic.

Of course, this goes without saying that your product and service must be top notch and desirable also!

    Hi Socrates,
I have always felt you know what you were talking about. Most of the time you are clear, but a few times you get ahead of me. I am like 90% of the people trying to make a dent on the internet. So for me if you could make the videos, and also a link to download the script to follow along with would be a big help.

  31. R Jameson 11 Sep 2008 at 12:30 pm

Most of the suggestions by the people who have written in above are excellent. Here’s what else I would love to see:

    1. A common-sense guide to using social media in a way that really boosts your traffic, rankings and sales. I say common-sense because most of the ebooks out there either only show you how to open an account, or gloss over what exactly can be done to really make a difference to your business - with no real strategies. Social media seems like an activity that wastes all your time. I need to see some concrete and doable ways that it bring in results before I spend any time on it.

    2. How to get the most out of blogging. Again, this needs to be common-sense, doable and effective. There are so many blogs out there now, how can you still get mileage out of a blog if it’s relatively new?

    3. Outsourcing - what is the best use of outsourcing for the entrepreneur? How to make th

From the requests I’m seeing the #1 request and the number one problem most of us have is not enough traffic. Mostly not enough patience to get the traffic I think. There seems to ne no way to get massive traffic without spending massive money. I’ve had my blog for a while and while I don’t often post real articles on it I am starting to get some traffic, granted it’s starting out slow at about 13 to 20 visits per day but it’s growing. Mostly from social websites that specialize in blogs and blog communities. Adwords is killing me on costs with no real return but I haven’t really tackled it yet either. So that in mind we need to know how to get the traffic.

  40. Astaon 11 Sep 2008 at 1:46 pm

I don’t know where to start, this is still all overwhelming for me. I like Carol Hansens reply. Text is better for me. Trying to get a successful ebay store of the ground.

Since I am online learning about internet marketing,I rarely have found the nuts and bolts of how to setup a website ready to sell. Things like how to upload website pages in the file structure of Cpanel. Only Ewen Chia has published a guide to “basics” that are easy to understand and follow. Admittedly, there are videos from various sources to which I bought access. From reading the other posts in this blog, most people share the same difficulties and are not shown the basics.
Ewen Chia’s “basics” is extremely helpful, but can be expanded to include more steps.
An alternative approach to offer internet marketing newbies is a package that includes a PLR set of products AND website structure to edit and personalize, like Terry Telford did during August 2008. Yes he included a setting up guide, but no personal support followed.
The site has been closed after the big sale.
Socrates can do better than most by offering what is most lucking with internet marketers, practical support.
Have I given a hint about tying up a great PLR package and a PLR website/membership site?

    Hey Socrates,

I’m presently trying to attract traffic to my Digital eBooks website, on a “strict budget” mainly “Free”. How about an Autoresponder Video Series on Creating an Optin-List with HTML Email Product Offers to interested and Optin Subscribers. Truthfully, I could use your MyDD Application Software amongst the above request, but presently I have to get some sales under my belt to afford it. Hi, Socrates,

    I have some specific questions:

    - Are there sites other than eBay that lend themselves to selling info products?

    - If I decide to set up a site using DD, how can I be sure I’m choosing a compatible hosting service? Would I be able to use one of those online site builders?

    - Are the autoresponders that come with hosting accounts any good? Could I get one to work with DD?

    - Is there a way to legally sell info products on Craigslist? Would it be worth it?

One comment: video instruction is great, but accompanying printable instructions are a lot easier to look at while you’re actually performing a task.

    Are you single? (Just kidding!)

Thanks for all the great ideas,

I’m sorry I don’t have much spare time so I can log on to your blog .I’d love to have the time for that . I’m also short of materials neither a lap-top or a mobile just to devote much time to read the abundant stuff aroud the field of online marketing . I do really take some but I miss much . I got to some extent involved in e-commerce with minmum potentials and started from scratch . though this fact I appreciate the deal in general . The idea that mostly comes to surface about e-marketing and that is so often raised by specialists in the domain is skepticism .This is on the one hand . another point of much importance too is guaranties offered for clients with respect to paiment and refunds . Would you please shed some light on these two subject-matters . Thank you !

  53. Michaelon 11 Sep 2008 at 5:20 pm

    Hi,
I would agree with one of the people above.
I would like to see how to take an eBook or Info product and burn it on to a cd with an autorun file and menu and perhaps how to label the cd etc.
The Kunaki tutorial would be fine also.
I would prefer videos for learning and I guess my thoughts are if a video is done in a very clear way and with the thoughts that “I am going to (show) people how to do this.”
Then maybe it would help the people who don’t use english as a primary language.
I also learned of you through MyDD.
I purchased it to use with eBay sales.
I guess one has to decide if it is worth staying with eBay.
As for traffic that was one of the things about eBay, you listed a product and people found it.
    eBay provided the traffic.
If you have read anything from some of the Info Power Sellers it was through their eBay sales that they created their email list for back end sales etc.
Sorry for getting carried away with my answer.
    Mike

various learning stages. Even though I’ve been online for a while, I still stumble when it comes to technical issues such as installing web

I’ve gotten the best tips from both you and Henry
that have actually put money in my pocket. In
fact, when I implemented just one of your tips,
I turned a dead ebook into hundreds of sales and
I thank you deeply for that.

    Socrates,

…What to do when and why…

    - Is it “start with a niche”, or start with one’s own site?

I’ve been attempting to get my own ebiz for the past 10+ years and just when I think I “got it”, someone else comes out with different approaches to the burning question, “Where do I begin” (at starting my own Intenet Business.

With experience in “layout & design” and article writing (Army tng as an Info Specialist & A.A.S. in Computer Systems Tech), I am still not gaining in IM!!!

Let’s put together a program (lessons?) on how anyone (even with limited knowlege) can start their own Internet business at minimal cost/time involved.

Would a “tutorial” of sorts on “how” to create one’s own site or find their true “niche” help? We need to “conjure” up a truly step-by-step program covering all the bases.

If this is possible and affordable (even on a weekly payment basis), I would love to be part of it…

    Sincerely,

    Robert Schurr

    Hi,

Firstly - Thanks for all the terrific material, training, videos, etc. you have sent me for so long.

Secondly - What I feel would be most helpful to your readers is to keep them up to date on the most effective way to drive customers/readers/browsers to their sites. Many of us are at least a few months behind the curve. I think that instead of providing detailed instructions on how to attack a particular marketing approach (email list, SEO, Social Network, etc.) we would be better served by keeping us up to date on the cutting edge of what is beginning to be used those who are on the cutting edge.

If you would keep us up to date on the leading edge, and provide a little steering, that would be the best that most of us could hope for.

    Thanks again,
    Randall

I’ve spent the last almost 6 years on the Internet. I didn’t really know what to do, but I thought web design would be fun! I taught myself web and graphic design, CSS, some PHP. I’ve written probably 100’s of ebooks with my partner who is NOT a web designer, but a professional writer.

So, he writes the copy, and I design the web sites and the ebooks, blogs, article directories.

I don’t like video much either, except for Information (documentary) type videos. I would rather read a web page or an ebook. Basically because you can scroll back up the pages and re-read sections without having to rewind and search for the pertinent section. I find them too much like TV commercials.

What I would like to see is a way for someone like me who DOES have a niche, and lots of informative ebooks, to create a rock-solid income, without scamming people, and coming off like a used car salesman. (On a budget).

Lots of great questions on this blog.
Thanks, and to Health, Wealth & Success.
    Claire

    Hi Socrates,

Some videos or more details on getting links to a brand new website so that it gets indexed in Google & yahoo.

This sometimes can be the most frustrating poart of launching a new site, is the wait for your website to get appear in the search engines.

No doubt you have some tip and tricks to achieve this hidden in the recesses of your mid, so any info you have on this would be very appreciated..

Take care and keep up the great work

    Hi Socrates,

I have read that people search using the url bar rather than google search box. This comes up with errors.

I read some junk mail about someone had cashed in on this idea that makes web pages for you with keywords made up from wrong search terms.

Not sure how it works exactly but was wondering if you knew or anyone else.

This guy reckons that 10% of searches are done wrong and that traffic will be driven to your sites with adense and other stuff.

Interesting idea and although it would have cost £200 to find out i couldn’t do it.

I cannot for the life of me think of this chaps web address.

Keep up the good work guys..

Any word on myDD integrating with kunaki yet?

    Regards

    gaz…

A blueprint of how to create an online business. It seems that most of the information I have read has been conjecture and what should happen while the author tries to add too much information. The information overload in trying to start an internet marketing site is in overdrive. Reminds me of the old saying, “if you can’t dazzle them with brilliance then baffle them with bull.” It could be something simple:

    1. Find Niche
    2. Build site
    3. Get traffic

All without the extra info that a beginner doesn’t need to know in the beginning. Thanks

  66. Dave Nicholsonon 11 Sep 2008 at 11:11 pm

    Hey Socrates,

Excellent idea, I would recommend a topic on ‘How to handle information overload’. What I mean by this is I think a lot of people get TOO MUCH information and are not quite sure what to do with it, I have been meaning to write about this myself for ages but something else always crops up!

    Later,

    Dave.

Thanks so much for the invaluable informations towards a successful online business. I look forward having one as soon as possible, despite financial constraints.

In summary, we need a comprehensive guide to be a very successful internet marketing entrepeneur…from choosing the right business, website development and design (texts, graphics and videos) to search engine optimization and expert marketing online in general plus how to stay on top.

More power and blessings to you and your staff as you open your door to serve as many as possible worldwide.

    Hi Socrates,

There still are areas in the U.S. that do not have high speed Internet because of private phone companies, rugged terrain, lack of funds, trees etc.

I would like to find resell rights that are already hosted for me with the ability to personalize the content using a fill-in form. This would break the barrier for me and those who wish to utilize resell rights without having to upload content on slow dial-up Internet accounts.

  71. Juneon 12 Sep 2008 at 5:00 pm

I wrote a 182 page home study course that shows people exactly what to do to create home businesses. It is doing quite well and because I offer personal help, it takes me a lot of time to answer each persons individual needs, which is fine, but it is all leading to this:

What I have a problem with are the graphics for all of the niches that I do that are separate from the IM niche. It is getting very expensive for me to keep paying a designer.

I have many blank templates that are awesome, but I don’t know how to edit them. I have tried with Gimp, but am dumber than a bag of rocks when it comes to this and so far, I haven’t found a decent tutorial on how to edit the templates.

I would be ecstatic to just be able to edit the text and color. I would be happier that a hog in s#%@ to be able to learn it and in turn teach my loyal subscribers that want to learn too.

Thanks so much Socrates. Your continued help is a treasure.

    This might sound ridiculous however, I’ll say it anyway;
How the heck can a person start anything now a-days with absolutely no funds to do so?

I have got involved with a couple of good sites with healthy products I believed in but to really get going one needs the bucks or credit.
Also, I have not been a very good/successful marketer. I just don’t seem to have it in me to bother people all over the world trying to sell stuff (like so many others are doing)
I did try to sell this product I had the opportunity to get but I can’t get that convincing sales pitch down when doing it in person. I have a hard enough time selling myself as a massage practitioner and as a musician.

    Have a beautiful life.
    Sincerely

    Cea
PS: BTW, I have appreciated and learned stuff from your emails….thank you for taking the time to do this as I know how much time it takes away from me when I sit down at the puter.

    Hi Socrates,
I desperately need help,In february I decided that I wanted to work with digital products as enough was enough with the hard slog. So I closed my ebay shop, followed a course on resale rights and havent earned a penny since. I am a crafter and have set up a website http://www.bestcraftprojectsonline.com I have designed some great copy and paste cardmaking kits, with loads of individual resizable templates, that will save cardmakers and scrapbookers loads of money on expensive Backgrounds, borders, graphics etc but don’t know how to promote my site, I tried to submit to search engines, but it asked about tags I don’t know what this is (it’s taken me 7 months to teach myself how to build a basic website, which I know that mine is basic). I need help with site promotion ( have a minute mailing list that’s not growing or selling even though I send newsletters and special offers)and I am totally fed up with hard work and no income.
    PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.
    Thanks
    Veronica

I would like to know more on how to choose a domain name that would attract the most traffic.

    P.S: I think this is a great blog ;)

What I would love to see is HELP for the complete novice! I read all your e-mails as well as some from many others but I am completely green at this and have very little skills. how do I set-up a site, find product, customers, etc. Pretty much like teaching a 5 year old.!

  81. Pastor Edon 28 Sep 2008 at 6:51 pm

    Hello Socrates:
Thank you for all the help you provide to many rookies in the business, nubies and wantabees.

I came across you products when searching for information on how to get it all together and make it work like all the money makers out there.

Here is a thought for you to work on a video presentation. Most people have no idea of where to start looking for a DOMAIN NAME, what they need to know about that domain such as band width, cost, files etc. Do they need the “Cadilac” domain to get started? How many bells and whisles are enough to get you going. The important files that are absolutely necessary to have etc.

This, to me, is one of the most important first steps and often overlooked proceedures in building a winning web site.

    Thanks
    Pastor Ed

Topic: Text. Write about how a complete dummy can build an emailing list and how they can make extra money by a short step by step lesson.

I know a lot about a lot of things and I have a lot of ideas and hobbies, however when it comes to learning something on making extra money on the internet I just don’t get it.

    Thank You.
